Trekking Ossola valley
CODELAGO DAM (Devero plain-Crampiolo-Lago delle Streghe-Codelago dam)

DURATION: 1 hour
LENGTH: 6 km
Departure from the large square in Località Alpe Devero, walk up between the village and past the small wooden bridge across the long plain to take the path to Crampiolo, or dirt road on the right about halfway across the plain.
When you reach Crampiolo continue and keep to the left after about 5 minutes of walking you reach Lago delle Streghe.
Returning toward Crampiolo before the bridge you go up toward Codelago, and after about 20 minutes you reach Codelago Dam.
TOUR OF MOSCERA (San Bernardo-Ragozza lake-Gattascosa hut-Moscera Pass-Alpe Arza-San Bernardo)
Starting from San Bernardo Alta Val Bognanco, leaving the bush in the second square in front of the refuge, take the path to the left of the refuge.
Go up through the peat bog passing the Laghetto di Ragozza continue to the Gattascosa refuge.
From here continue on the dirt road to the junction for Passo del Moscera. After passing the lake you reach the Italian-Swiss border.
From here you descend tending the dirt road past Alpe Monscera and Alpe Arza and then return to San Bernardo.
TOUR OF THE LAKES OF ALTA VAL FORMAZZA (Riale-Maria Luisa hut-Toggia dam-San Giacomo Pass-Boden lakes-Kastel lake-Alpe Ghighel-Riale)

Tour of the lakes of Alta Val Formazza: Riale-Rif. Maria Luisa-Diga del Toggia- Passo San Giacomo- Laghetti del Boden- Lago Kastel-Alpe Ghighel-Riale.
Leave the car in Frazione Riale in Valle Formazza and take the dirt road that climbs to the right of the village, past Rifugio Maria Luisa continue on the dirt road that skirts the Toggia Dam on the left until you reach the Italian-Swiss border of Passo San Giacomo. Before the small lake on the left is path to Boden Lakes and Lake Kastel, the path will climb and then descend skirting the small lakes.
When you reach Lake Kastel you will skirt it on the right past the old dam keeper's house the trail will descend to the Ghighel Alp and then last descend in the steep path against the mountain back to Riale.
SALECCHIO – ANTILLONE (Premia Loc Passo-Salecchio-Case Francoli-Alpe Vova- Antillone- Fondovalle)

ELEVATION GAIN: 500 m
For this route you need to bring a car to Fondovalle in the Formazza Valley.
You start from Premia in Loc. Passo where you leave your car. Go up immediately along the asphalt road to Salecchio Inferiore, then continue along the scenic trail that runs along the Antigorio Valley passing Salecchio Superiore (Walser settlement) and Case Francoli to reach Alpe Vova and continue to Antillone, skirting the small lake the trail leads back to the asphalt road arriving at Fondovalle.
